Visit the towns of Anjum and Dokkum on one of your cycling tours. Groningen and Pieterburen are nearby. Or take the ferry to Schiermonnikoog, a car-free Wadden Island with a beautiful beach and extensive dunes.

The small-scale holiday park Park Baayvillas has only 12 villas located right on the Lauwersmeer. The 6 and 8 person villas are located in the lee of a marina and have an incredible unobstructed view over the water. From the villa's terrace you can reach the swimming jetty in just a few steps. You can jump straight into the water from the jetty. You can also go paddle boarding, surfing, fishing and boating. There are no more facilities at the holiday park, but you don't need more facilities in the luxury villas right on the Lauwersmeer.
