In this blog we write a review of Center Parcs De Eemhof. We spent a weekend at this holiday park with our family in November. For those who are not familiar with this park, De Eemhof is a Center Parcs holiday park located in the province of Flevoland. In this review we try to give the best possible picture of De Eemhof. 1. General impression of Center Parcs De Eemhof
Let's start with a general impression of the holiday park. Center Parcs De Eemhof is located in the south of the province of Flevoland, right on the Eemmeer. The park is located in/next to a forest and makes a beautiful green impression. The typical, recognizable Center Parcs Cottages are located in this green environment. The semi-detached light gray houses are spread among the trees and water features, in short, truly typical Center Parcs.
We stayed in a 4-person VIP bungalow near Market Square. These bungalows do not have a garden, but a jetty (wooden deck). From the terrace you can look out onto the long jetty that runs through the pond in front of Market Square. De Eemhof is a very large holiday park with many modern facilities. De Eemhof consists of 801 bungalows, 50 hotel rooms and 100 apartments and the park can accommodate a maximum of 3,500 guests!
The Market Square is the beating heart of the park, where you will find various shops, restaurants and other facilities. The square is lively and atmospheric, in the evening the lighting creates a warm atmosphere. The Aqua Mundo swimming paradise of De Eemhof is also located in the Market Square. Our children always love the swimming pools at Center Parcs and the Aqua Mundo at De Eemhof is one of their favorite swimming pools. You can read more about this later in this blog.
You won't be bored for a moment in De Eemhof. There is a lot to do in the Action Factory. For example, you will find the indoor playground here. You will also find a Gametown, Bumper cars, a climbing wall, bowling alleys and pool tables. Outside the Action Factory are the mini golf course, archery range, trampolines, Kids Safari, sports arena, High Adventure Experience and petting zoo.
If you continue towards the Eemmeer you will arrive at the marina, where the hotel rooms, apartments and houseboats can be found. From here you have a beautiful view over the Eemmeer. You have the opportunity to practice various water sports here, you can do this at Eemhof Watersport & Beach Club. Brasserie Zuiderzoet is also located here. At the Eemhof you will find the real typical Center Parcs vibes, often with a modern twist.

2. Accommodations at Center Parcs De Eemhof
Most accommodations at Center Parcs De Eemhof consist of the truly typical semi-detached white bungalows. We stayed in a 4-person VIP bungalow. From the bungalow we looked out onto the Kids Haven and pedal boat rental, which is located on the edge of Market Square. I can best describe the cottage as cozy and cozy. These Cottages have now been beautifully renovated. The children always enjoy lighting the fireplace in the evening. Most cottages at Center Parcs De Eemhof have now been modernized and equipped with modern conveniences, such as a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.
However, in addition to the typical Center Parcs cottages, De Eemhof also has a few other types of accommodations. These range from hotel rooms, waterfront suites to houseboats. The houseboats offer a unique experience, where you literally stay on the water and enjoy a panoramic view of the Eemmeer. You can also look out over the Eemmeer from the "Waterfront Suite VIP Apartment". If you book a hotel room, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet every day. So there is suitable accommodation for every type of holidaymaker. Tip, look at the map of De Eemhof and find your favorite spot at this holiday park.

3. Aqua Mundo swimming pool at Center Parcs De Eemhof
One of the highlights of Center Parcs De Eemhof is without a doubt the Aqua Mundo swimming pool. This subtropical swimming paradise is truly beautifully landscaped. It offers fun for the whole family. Our children are real water lovers and real fans of this pool. If it were up to them, we could be found in the pool all day long. The wave pool, the whitewater course and the various slides ensure that they are entertained all day long.
On the 'duo racer' slide they want to compete with each other again and again. On this slide you can race against each other to see who gets to the bottom first. The 'Flow Rider' is also fun to do once. Here you can experience the real surfing experience on artificial waves. The Turbo Twister tire slide is also a fun experience. All these attractions ensure that Aqua Mundo is never boring. There is always something to discover and experience.

4. Child-friendliness of the Center Parcs De Eemhof holiday park
The Action Factory
In addition to the Aqua Mundo swimming pool, there is more than enough for children to do at Center Parcs De Eemhof. De Eemhof offers many activities and facilities especially for the youngest guests. The Action Factory, with its indoor playground Mini-Baluba, offers hours of fun. Children can climb, slide and have fun here. Our littlest girl had a great time playing here. In the meantime, I started playing pool with my son. In the Action Factory there are several pool tables next to the bowling alley. In addition, Orry and Friends, the Center Parcs mascots, provide extra entertainment with their daily shows. The Bumper cars and the Gametown can also be found in the Action Factory. In the Gametown, older children can play various (video) games.
There are numerous facilities just outside the Action Factory. The extensive mini golf course is also always very popular. The petting zoo with goats and donkeys is also a popular place. Our children always enjoy cuddling with animals. Outside the Action Factory there are also trampolines, a multifunctional sports field and the Kids Safari.
There are special hangouts for older children and teenagers, such as the DJ Booth and the interactive football wall. Here they can chill and make new friends. In addition to these hangouts, there is an outdoor fitness arena. Furthermore, the high adventure experience can also be found next to the Action Factory.

5. Location of Center Parcs De Eemhof
Center Parcs De Eemhof is located quite secluded in Zeewolde, Flevoland, on the Eemmeer. The park is easily accessible by car and there is ample parking. The location on the Eemmeer makes it possible to practice various water sports, such as sailing, surfing and kayaking. There are also various cycle paths in the area, so you can explore Flevoland.
From Marina de Eemhof it is possible to sail to Spakenburg by boat. Spakenburg is located on the other side of the Eemmeer. Further interesting destinations in the area are the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk and the Aviodrome in Lelystad. And perhaps our best tip in the area is eating out at the Hans & Grietje Pancake House and Play Park. On our YouTube channel you will find a YouTube short of the Hans & Grietje Pancake House.

6. Facilities at Center Parcs De Eemhof
Market Square of Center Parcs de Eemhof
Many of the Center Parcs de Eemhof facilities are located on Market Square. Yes, the Eemhof does not have a Market Dome but a Market Square! Due to a fire in 2000, the then Market Dome of Center Parcs De Eemhof, together with the Aqua Mundo (the subtropical swimming pool), was completely destroyed. Two years later, the new Aqua Mundo and a Market Square opened on the same site. No more “Dome” was allowed to be built, so an open square called Market Square was chosen. The Market Square is the place where you can shop, eat and participate in various activities. This cozy Market Square has many facilities such as shops and restaurants:
- Fuego
- Nonnas
- Evergreenz
- French fries Affairs
- Grand Café
- Daily food store (supermarket)
- Aqua Mundo
The square is beautifully and very cozy with a real Mediterranean atmosphere. Yet we secretly miss the dome a bit. For us, the Dome gives us that Center Parcs feeling even more. We went to Nonna's for dinner on Saturday. Here we enjoyed delicious Italian classics such as lasagna and pizza.
The holiday park offers a wide range of facilities that contribute to an unforgettable holiday. In addition to the Aqua Mundo swimming pool and the child-friendly facilities, there are numerous sports and relaxation options, most of which are located in and around the Action Factory. You have already read about this earlier in this blog.

7. Dining options at Center Parcs De Eemhof
Center Parcs De Eemhof has a lot to offer in the culinary field. There are many dining options where you can enjoy a wide range of dishes:
- Evergreenz - Buffet restaurant: This restaurant offers an extensive buffet with a wide choice of dishes. Think of fresh salads, hot meals and desserts. It is a perfect place for families as there is something for everyone.
- Frites Affairs: Here you can get a quick and tasty bite. The menu consists of various types of fries and snacks.
- Fuego - Grill restaurant: For lovers of grilled meat and fish, Fuego is the place to be. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, with an open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work.
- Grand Café: This café offers a relaxing setting where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a light lunch or a drink. The cozy interior and friendly staff make it a nice place to relax.
- Nonna's - Italian Restaurant: At Nonna's you can enjoy authentic Italian dishes, from fresh pasta to delicious pizzas. The restaurant has a family atmosphere and is perfect for a pleasant evening out.
- Zuiderzoet - Brasserie: Located on the marina, Zuiderzoet offers a beautiful view over the water. The menu consists of refined dishes, prepared with local and seasonal ingredients.
Because there are so many choices and options in terms of dining options and the quality is also excellent, we cannot give any other rating than a 10!

Final conclusion of our review of Center Parcs De Eemhof
Center Parcs De Eemhof is one of our favorite Center Parcs holiday parks. This is partly due to the Aqua Mundo swimming paradise. But Center Parcs De Eemhof offers much more for an unforgettable holiday. You won't be bored for a moment here. Besides the impressive swimming pool, there is much more to do. With many child-friendly activities and a wide range of dining options, there is something for everyone. The beautiful location on the Eemmeer with water sports options and the various different accommodations also make this park an ideal destination for families, couples and groups of friends.
